New Boots

Readers may recall my post, and subsequent article on Mensflair.com, that laid bare my collection of shoes. One visitor to this blog mentioned that my possession of only one pair of boots was rather disappointing. I must admit that I acknowledged this myself. In my search for co-respondents, Berluti-a-likes and 'different' looking shoes in a variety of tones, I had forgotten the comforts and the reliable beauty of a good pair of boots. A brown pair from Zara, that have lasted four years, have served me well but I had recently resolved to look for a black pair in the sales.

I thought I had failed - nowhere seemed to stock the kind of boots I was looking for. Until I stumbled into Zara to check the dregs of the sale and found these splendid boots for £40. While certainly not the Loake boots I had been looking at, these were £120 cheaper and fit for purpose.

Ahh, you're preaching to the choir here! Though my personal taste in boots is a little different, I think your latest pair is rather smart. There's nothing you can't do in a good pair of boots. And I am a firm believer that there's nothing that doesn't go with a very large steel toe-capped number. ;)

Awesome boots. When I get to the mainland of the US this summer I am going to have to see what I can discover. Thanks for posting the picture. I do enjoy reading your blog! Robert in Guam
