Outfit - Pattern Riot

Pattern mixing is one of my favourite pastimes; the line between successful eclecticism and hotchpotch is so fine that one could consider it rather dangerous sport. A houndstooth jumper, paisley tie and 'check' scarf combine here. I am still undecided as to the result.

Shoes - Church's

Socks - Tie Rack

Purple jeans - Zara

Houndstooth jumper - GAP

Jacket - Zara

Shirt - TM Lewin

Tie - Hackett

Scarf - Cordings

Belt - a small shop in Volterra, Tuscany

No worries about the pattern mix, that´s allright. But take a closer look to your right arm: it seems as if your shirt sleeves are way to long, they seemingly cover half of your hand. Or might that be angle of the pic?

Textures, color, Patterns are always details that many of us overlook. I find them fascinating and your pictures are very interesting and enjoyable to view. robert

Spoozyliciouzz,

No, it's the shirt sleeves. I wore my double cuff shirts without links. I sometimes do so when I am wearing more casual garments as I like the splash of colour. It might not be correct, but I don't really care too much about that.

Robert,

Thanks for the compliment.

Hi, you're site is very enjoyable. It was a positive surprise to stumple upon a fellow young dandy.

The pattern mix does not quite work out, in my opinion. While the paisley/houndstooth are fine, the checkered scarf is too decidedly modern that it destroys the the classy tone set by the other patterns. Plus, the red in the scarf doesn't go with anything and does not complement the brown/orange tones in the tie.

Anyway, the highlight of that look is the purple pants with pink socks thing. Very fresh and clever.
