I'm guessing they were astonished at how well they go with the purple.Great outfit; how do you think a navy blazer would look instead?
What did they say Winston..?
Probably just jealous that they hadn't thought to match their own pink socks with a co-ordinating pocket square...I must say though Winsey, those trousers looks awfully, ahem, tight!
Man 1: 'Ooh look at faggot boy with his pink socks'Man 2: *Laughs* 'Reckon he's got pink knickers as well? hahahah'Man 3: 'Oi, what ya doin' with pink socks you big girl's blouse'That was largely it. It's entertaining more than anything, and they're the sort of men who give grief to well-dressed attractive women too - although of a different, perhaps more distressing, kind.
Ignore them Winston. They're pathetic.
It would be most interesting to know how THEY were garbed. I have noticed, though, that coloured socks certainly attract second glances from passers-by on the street. I'm currently wearing flamingo pink cords (Hackett) with bright red socks and brown suede loafers (Church's) and I'm very pleased with the overall effect. But I'm not sure I'd dare sport it outside Chelsea and Fulham! Oh, and I must say, that of the three separate looks above, No. 1 is by far the best. Such a shame Baron is now defunct...
Anonymous 1,I am sure a navy blazer would look just as fetching as the grey linen - particularly as navy and purple are perfect partners. The jeans really are a brighter berry purple in the sunlight than in this picture, so the contrast would be sufficient. W
