In my new Zara suit. I was slightly disappointed by the Spanish brand's collection of suits over the last couple of seasons - they were shiny, cheap and lazily designed. I thought Zara's 'style' period for menswear was over. Fortunately, they seem to have some of the old design heads back; this chalk stripe lightweight 100% wool suit is a winner; it is classified as the 'Tailored Fit' which accounts for the slimmer sleeves and more accentuated waist. The only adjustment required was the shortening of the trousers (adding turn-ups too), which was completed at Graham Browne.

Also featured in this is a new houndstooth waistcoat picked up at the current H&M sale. Binning the H&M buttons, I added the mother-of-pearl shank buttons from John Lewis to give the waistcoat more character.

Suit - Zara

Shoes - Dune

Waistcoat (buttons added) - H&M

Tie - Gieves & Hawkes

Pocket square - Tie Rack

Shirt - TM Lewin

Very nice, though the fit of your waistcoat is off.
Keep up the good work.

I recently acquired a chalk stipe suit of ebay. Trouser inseam is the right length with two inches of materal to let out for lengthening. If I wanted to add turn ups, would this be enough material?

Many thanks.

I recently acquired a chalk stripe suit from ebay. Correct inseam length with 2 inches of fabric to extend by. Is it still possible to add turn ups to the trousers?

Many thanks
