The Tie Tuck

Someone asked me why I tuck my ties in. Was it, he asked, considered 'smarter' to do so? I don't know. I don't always do it, but occasionally I just prefer the look.

More bargain trousers; these sapphire linen ones are from River Island, costing £7.50 in the sale.

Black Oxford shoes - Jones ONE Collection

Sapphire blue linen trousers - River Island

Sky blue shirt - TM Lewin

Black tie - TM Lewin

Blue pocket square - Tie Rack

Jacket (buttons added) - ASOS

Blue mock-croc belt - Zara

Slylish! I also sometimes end with " a to long tie" and than I use that solution! I see that you also use a lot of TM lewin. :)

Have a nice day

I´d thought you normally only tuck in ties with cut-off ends (normally the ones knitted). So you´re tucking in silk ones to?

Spooz,

The knitted ones are usually silk too but yes, I tuck in non-square ended ties for a different look sometimes.

Savile Joe,

Many thanks for your kind words. We'll see what happens!

Agneta,

Thanks and welcome.

I love the look and the idea of tucking the necktie into the trouser. Unfortunately being 6 feet and 5 inches tall that opportunity doesn't present itself that often. I'm in the process of ordering a few Made-to-order neckties. Hopefully they will give me the right length to accomplish this look. I usually try and do this in the warm weather months.
