Painting shoes back to life
Not so long ago, an enthusiastic chap named Bert contacted me through this blog alerting me to the possibility of 'repatination.'
The process was simple. Provide a pair of shoes to colour and he will do his work - creating an interesting patina from an ordinary shoe.
This wonderful craftsman was so refreshing and so exciting, that I just had to write about his work.
I gave him my old pair of Berluti-esque Zara shoes - a great deal of work as it turned out due to the creasing - and he created the cherry coloured shoes you can see in the picture below.
Shoes - Zara (repatination by Bert of Patina Quality Shoes)
Trousers - Cad & The Dandy
Waistcoat - eBay
Shirt - TM Lewin
Tie - Tie Rack
