This is a paper poppy that is exchanged for a donation to the Royal British Legion, which is an organisation that collects for ex servicemen and women. Remembrance Sunday (today) is the culmination of this; a service to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country. We do it every year in Great Britain.
